UNPALATABLE BHELPURI

'I have a soft spot for Nana Patekar,' someone said before we stepped into the screening. We shook our head in disbelief. How could anyone have a soft spot for an actor who is famous for being irascible and irritable, unpredictable and unsocial? If anything, Nana gets to play this persona in Tum Milo Toh Sahi. And that is the kindest thing one can say about this unpalatable half-baked bhelpuri of events and characters.

The true Mumbaikar would have so many Irani café memories, and also great respect for the hard-working Tamilian/Malayali clerks in every office, who could make sense of any document. Two of these ‘institutions’ find their way into Kabir Sadanand’s Tum Milo To Sahi -- a film that does no justice to the city or its people.
