REVIEW: Astro Boy

The character derived from a 1951 Japanese Manga comic, and going through several avatars, fits in snugly into American animation, with some changes — aiming to appealing to kids and to clued-in gown-ups, even though David Bower’s Astro Boy is, by today’s spectacular 3D standards, cutely retro.

In Metro City of the future, humans have it good -- their chores are done by robots, easily disposed off when they cease to be of use, by tossing them onto Earth below.
